Sean Aylward is an executive director in the Family Enterprise Business Services (FEBS) practice of Ernst & Young LLP. He has over 26 years of experience serving middle-market privately held enterprises, business-owning families and family offices in the manufacturing, automotive and technology industries. Sean’s primary focus is on helping clients with business growth, generational transition and shareholder liquidity services. Prior to joining EY, Sean practiced law, serving as Vice Chair of the Corporate and Securities Group of Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC and advising business entities, nonprofits, estates and trusts on a wide variety of tax and transactional matters. His experience includes business entity structure and operation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, redemptions and liquidations, limited liability company and partnership agreements, joint ventures and real estate transactions. In addition, Sean advised individuals on tax matters, including estate plan design and implementation, wealth transfer planning, business succession planning, charitable planning, and trust and estate administration.
